Benefits of becoming an IndiaHCI 2024 SV
Opportunity to contribute to the HCI community in India.
Opportunity to interact with some of the top industry practitioners and academicians.
Free student registration for India HCI 2024 in IIT-Bombay, India from November 7-9, 2024.
Priority for free student accommodation (this is not a commitment yet, but the organizers of India HCI 2024 will try their best to arrange for free student accommodation for SVs during India HCI 2024).
Invitation to Student Volunteers dinner (usually planned for the last day of the India HCI conference).
After completing the SVship, you will get a certificate from IDC School of Design, IIT-Bombay.
Who can apply?
Any person who is and will be a full-time university student at any level (undergraduate, post-graduate, or PhD) till November 2024 can apply to become an SV. In addition, you should have the skills to perform some of the volunteering tasks listed in the Google form below.
It is not necessary to be a student in India or to be located within India. We will seek to create a diverse group of SVs, including gender, educational background, location and age diversities.
Commitment as an IndiaHCI SV
Work approximately 40 to 50 hours, which could be from December 2023 to November 2024
Be a professional (check emails regularly, show up on time to tasks, inform well in advance if you are not going to finish your task, try to get someone to back you up in case you will be missing out)
Attend online meetings (mostly once a fortnight)
